Barry Dixon's larder (named after the food-storage spaces common in homes before refrigeration) has the old-fashioned look and feel of a general store. Shelving is built especially for cookbooks and canned goods from the garden, in full display for their nostalgic value and beauty. The lower shelves, hidden by curtains, store less-beautiful bulk items.
